David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

ܘܩܡ ܐܙܠ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܥܡܗ ܡܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܐܙܠ ܠܓܒܥ ܠܡܣܩܘ ܡܢ ܬܡܢ ܠܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܬܩܪܝ ܬܡܢ ܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܨܒܐܘܬ ܝܬ̇ܒ ܥܠ ܟܪ̈ܘܒܐ
wqm 'zl dwyd wklh em' demh mn gbr' dyhwd' w'zl lgbe lmsqw mn thmn l'rwnh d'lh' d'thqry thmn shmh dmry' tsb'wth ythb el krwb'
David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah, to bring up from there God’s ark, which is called by the Name, even the name of Yahweh of Armies who sits above the cherubim.

ܘܣܡܘܗܝ ܠܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܥܠ ܥܓܠܬܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܘܫܩܠܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܒܝܢܕܒ ܕܒܓܒܥܬܐ ܘܥܐܙܐ ܘܐܚܝܐ ܒ̈ܢܝ ܐܒܝܢܕܒ ܡܕܒܪܝܢ ܠܥܓܠܬܐ ܒܐܚܪܝܬܐ
wsmwhy l'rwnh d'lh' el eglth' khdth' wshqlwhy mn byth 'byndb dbgbeth' we'z' w'khy' bny 'byndb mdbryn leglth' b'khryth'
They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

ܘܫܩܠܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܒܝܢܕܒ ܕܒܓܒܥ ܠܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܐܚܝܐ ܐܙ̇ܠ ܩܕܡ ܐܪܘܢܐ
wshqlwhy mn byth 'byndb dbgbe l'rwnh d'lh' w'khy' 'zl qdm 'rwn'
They brought it out of Abinadab’s house which was in the hill, with God’s ark; and Ahio went before the ark.

ܘܕܘܝܕ ܘܟܠܗ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܫܬܥܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܩܝܣ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܙܐ ܘܕܒܪܘܬܐ ܘܒܟܢܪ̈ܐ ܘܒܩܬܪ̈ܐ ܘܒ̈ܦܠܓܐ ܘܒܪ̈ܒܝܥܐ ܘܒܨ̈ܨܠܐ
wdwyd wklh byth 'ysryl mshtheyn qdm mry' bqys' d'rz' wdbrwth' wbknr' wbqthr' wbplg' wbrbye' wbtstsl'
David and all the house of Israel played before Yahweh with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals.

ܘܐܬܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܕܪ̈ܐ ܬܩ̈ܢܐ ܘܐܘܫܛ ܥܐܙܐ ܐܝܕܗ ܥܠ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܚܕ ܒܗ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܐܫܬܡܛܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܬܘܪ̈ܐ

When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached for God’s ark and took hold of it, for the cattle stumbled.

ܘܐܬܚܡܬ ܪܘܓܙܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܥܐܙܐ ܘܡܚܝܗܝ ܬܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܕܐܘܫܛ ܐܝܕܗ ܘܡܝܬ ܬܡܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
w'thkhmth rwgzh dmry' be'z' wmkhyhy thmn mry' el d'wshT 'ydh wmyth thmn lwth 'rwnh d'lh'
Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark.

ܘܐܬܒܐܫ ܠܕܘܝܕ ܥܠ ܕܬܪܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܬܘܪܥܬܐ ܒܥܐܙܐ ܘܩܪܐ ܠܐܬܪܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܬܘܪܥܬܐ ܕܥܐܙܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ
w'thb'sh ldwyd el dthre mry' thwreth' be'z' wqr' l'thr' hw thwreth' de'z' edm' lywmn'
David was displeased because Yahweh had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah to this day.

ܘܕܚܠ ܕܘܝܕ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܐܥܠ ܠܘܬܝ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
wdkhl dwyd bywm' hw mn qdm mry' w'mr 'ykn' 'el lwthy 'rwnh dmry'
David was afraid of Yahweh that day; and he said, “How could Yahweh’s ark come to me?”

ܘܠܐ ܨܒܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܠܡܥܠܘ ܠܘܬܗ ܠܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܩܪܝܬܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܘܐܣܛܝܗ ܕܘܝܕ ܠܒܝܬ ܥܘܒܪ ܐܕܘܡ ܓܬܝܐ
wl' tsb' dwyd lmelw lwthh l'rwnh d'lh' lqrythh ddwyd w'sTyh dwyd lbyth ewbr 'dwm gthy'
So David would not move Yahweh’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house.

ܘܝܬܒ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܬ ܥܘܒܪ ܐܕܘܡ ܓܬܝܐ ܬܠܬܐ ܝܪ̈ܚܝܢ ܘܒܪܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܘܒܪ ܐܕܘܡ ܓܬܝܐ ܘܠܟܠܗ ܒܝܬܗ
wythb 'rwnh dmry' byth ewbr 'dwm gthy' thlth' yrkhyn wbrk mry' lewbr 'dwm gthy' wlklh bythh
Yahweh’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and all his house.

ܘܚܘܝܘ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܕܒܪܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܘܒܪ ܐܕܘܡ ܘܠܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܡܛܠ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܙܠ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܐܣܩ ܠܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܘܒܪ ܐܕܘܡ ܠܩܪܝܬܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܒܚܕܘܬܐ
wkhwyw lmlk' dwyd w'mrw lh dbrk mry' lewbr 'dwm wlkl mdm d'yth lh mTl 'rwnh dmry' w'zl dwyd w'sq l'rwnh dmry' mn byth ewbr 'dwm lqrythh ddwyd bkhdwth'
King David was told, “Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy.

ܘܗܘܐ ܕܟܕ ܗܠܟܘ ܫܩܝ̈ܠܝ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܫܬ ܦܣ̈ܥܢ ܕܒܚ ܕܘܝܕ ܬܘܪ̈ܐ ܡܦܛܡ̈ܐ

When those who bore Yahweh’s ark had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.

ܘܕܘܝܕ ܡܫܒܚ ܒܟܠ ܥܘܫܢܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܕܘܝܕ ܠܒܝܫ ܦܕܬܐ ܕܒܘܨܐ

David danced before Yahweh with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.

ܘܕܘܝܕ ܘܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܣܩܝܢ ܠܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܘܒܒܐ ܘܒܩܠܐ ܕܫܝܦܘܪܐ
wdwyd wklh 'ysryl msqyn l'rwnh dmry' bywbb' wbql' dshypwr'
So David and all the house of Israel brought up Yahweh’s ark with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.

ܘܗܘܐ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܘܡܠܟܠ ܒܪܬ ܫܐܘܠ ܐܕܝܩܬ ܡܢ ܟܘܬܐ ܘܚܙܬ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܕܚ̇ܕܐ ܘܡܫܬܥܐ ܩܕܡ ܐܪܘܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܣܪܬ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܒܠܒܗ̇

As Yahweh’s ark came into David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before Yahweh; and she despised him in her heart.

ܘܐܝܬܝܘܗ̇ ܠܩܒܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܘܗ̇ ܒܓܘ ܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܢܩܫ ܠܗ̇ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܐܣܩ ܕܘܝܕ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܘܫ̈ܠܡܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ
w'ythywh lqbwthh dmry' w'qymwh bgw mshkn' dnqsh lh dwyd w'sq dwyd elwth' wshlm' qdm mry'
They brought in Yahweh’s ark, and set it in its place in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh.

ܘܟܕ ܫܠܡ ܕܘܝܕ ܠܡܣܩܘ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܘܫ̈ܠܡܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܒܪܟ ܠܥܡܐ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ

When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yahweh of Armies.

ܘܦܠܓ ܠܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܠܟܠܗ ܟܢܫܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܢܬܬܐ ܓܪܝܨܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܕܠܚܡܐ ܘܢܩܣܐ ܚܕ ܘܣܢܪܩܐ ܚܕ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܐܢܫ ܠܒܝܬܗ

He gave to all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to men and women, to everyone a portion of bread, dates, and raisins. So all the people departed, each to his own house.

ܘܗܦܟ ܕܘܝܕ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܘܢܦܩܬ ܡܠܟܠ ܒܪܬ ܫܐܘܠ ܠܐܘܪܥܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܡܐ ܝܩܝܪ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܐܬܓܠܝ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܠܥܝܢ ܐ̈ܡܗܬܐ ܕܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܡܬܓܠܝܘ ܐܬܓܠܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܣܪ̈ܝܩܐ

Then David returned to bless his household. Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of his servants’ maids, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”

ܘܐܡܪ ܕܘܝܕ ܠܡܠܟܠ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܨܒܐ ܒܝ ܡܢ ܐܒܘܟܝ ܘܡܢ ܟܠܗ ܒܝܬܗ ܘܦܩܕܢܝ ܕܐܗܘܐ ܡܕܒܪܢܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܛܠ ܗ̇ܘ ܓܚܟܬ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ

David said to Michal, “It was before Yahweh, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Yahweh, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before Yahweh.

ܘܒܨܝܪ ܗܘܝܬ ܬܘܒ ܡܢ ܗܕܐ ܘܗܘܝܬ ܫܦܠ ܒܥܝܢ̈ܝ ܢܦܫܝ ܕܥܡ ܐ̈ܡܗܬܐ ܕܐܡܪܬܝ ܥܡܗܝܢ ܐܬܝܩܪ
wbtsyr hwyth thwb mn hd' whwyth shpl beyny npshy dem 'mhth' d'mrthy emhyn 'thyqr
I will be yet more undignified than this, and will be worthless in my own sight. But the maids of whom you have spoken will honor me.”

ܘܠܡܠܟܠ ܒܪܬ ܫܐܘܠ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ̇ ܝܠܕܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܡܝܬܬ

Michal the daughter of Saul had no child to the day of her death.
